The Ophir Peace Hall has undergone some major upgrades recently, and is ready to rock. Or, indeed alt country. Or jazz. Music has always been a part of the hall’s history, with dances regularly held ‘in the old days’ due in part to the great floor (thin boards). Now used once a month for the OMG (Ophir Movie Group) as a fundraising exercise for future upgrades. But there in a strong desire in the community for more live music, and we’re starting to oblige, even though Covid has delayed things a touch.
Maecenas tempus, tellus eget condimentum rhoncus, sem quam semper libero, sit amet adipiscing sem neque sed ipsum. Nam quam nunc, blandit vel, luctus.
In the recent past, the hall has hosted gigs by Delaney Davidson, Matt Joe Gow, poetry readings, several birthday functions and an AGM. Heatpumps and a new kitchen, with an even newer toilet block have bought the hall right into the 21st century.
