JACKIE BRISTOW & MARK PUNCH

Nashville-based New Zealand singer-songwriter Jackie Bristow and Australian guitarist-producer Mark Punch play the Ophir Hall for the first time, following their highly successful 2025 European tour.

Their live show blends soulful Americana, folk, and roots with stunning musicianship and heart. Jackie’s rich, emotional vocals and Mark’s world-class guitar work have earned them international acclaim, with songs featured on hit TV shows like Euphoria and The Brokenwood Mysteries, and tours alongside Bonnie Raitt, Boz Scaggs, and Chris Isaak.

TURNBULL CLASSIC CAR SHOW

A celebration of the genius of Bob Turnbull, mechanical engineer. Noted for his work in development of the Hamilton Jet, Bob restored Bugattis, Lancia’s and several rare veteran cars including a 1907 Sizaire et Naudin and a 1904 Humberette.

As part of the 100th anniversary of the Ophir Peace Memorial Hall (next to the home Bob lived in), we’re inviting registrations for classic and veteran cars that honour Bob’s engineering interests. 

A car display in the main street of Ophir at 10am will be followed by a run to St Bathans for a light lunch. A display in the hall will have details on Bob and his cars.

 

Entrance for your classic car is $50.

ANZAC DAY MEMORIAL

We’re recognising and remembering the sacrifices of our fighting men and women with a remembrance at the Ophir Hall. The day will start at 9am with a march from Pitches store to the hall.
