6 MARCH 2026
JACKIE BRISTOW & MARK PUNCH
Nashville-based New Zealand singer-songwriter Jackie Bristow and Australian guitarist-producer Mark Punch play the Ophir Hall for the first time, following their highly successful 2025 European tour.
Their live show blends soulful Americana, folk, and roots with stunning musicianship and heart. Jackie’s rich, emotional vocals and Mark’s world-class guitar work have earned them international acclaim, with songs featured on hit TV shows like Euphoria and The Brokenwood Mysteries, and tours alongside Bonnie Raitt, Boz Scaggs, and Chris Isaak.
A celebration of the genius of Bob Turnbull, mechanical engineer. Noted for his work in development of the Hamilton Jet, Bob restored Bugattis, Lancia’s and several rare veteran cars including a 1907 Sizaire et Naudin and a 1904 Humberette.
As part of the 100th anniversary of the Ophir Peace Memorial Hall (next to the home Bob lived in), we’re inviting registrations for classic and veteran cars that honour Bob’s engineering interests.
A car display in the main street of Ophir at 10am will be followed by a run to St Bathans for a light lunch. A display in the hall will have details on Bob and his cars.
We’re celebrating the centenary of the Ophir Hall with a ball, almost 100 years to the day since the hall opened in 1926. keep an eye out for tickets.
